Mental Health First Aid

Published

Our Mental Health First Aid Trainers, Emma and Kevin recently delivered the course at YMCA Liverpool. Mental Health First Aid (MHFA) is a fantastic course and is the mental health equivalent of physical first aid. MHFA training is interactive and provides the practical skills and confidence to help recognise the signs and symptoms of common mental health issues, and to effectively guide a person towards the right support.

Research and evaluation undertaken by Mental Health First Aid England shows that taking part in an MHFA course:

• Raises awareness and mental health literacy
• Reduces stigma around mental ill health
• Boosts knowledge and confidence in dealing with mental health issues
• Promotes early intervention which enables recovery

We can deliver the full day 2 course or taster sessions for your team and you can join courses here at YMCA Liverpool or speak to us about delivering from your place of work. For more information get in touch with Emma here
