Dutch Farm Statement
Published
YMCA Liverpool & Sefton and the Dutch Farm team have been overwhelmed by the support that we have received from our community over the past few days.
Dutch Farm suffered a break in during the night of Tuesday 11th June and a number of our buildings were damaged and most sadly we lost a number of our chickens, other animals are fine and are being well looked after by the team.
The community of Garston and the people of Liverpool have been incredible in offering support and help to ensure that Dutch Farm is back up and running very soon including community members who have set up a Go Fund Me page, once again we really appreciate this kindness.
We are currently working on a plan to set out what we need to do to the site to make it more secure and safer for the animals, we have a clear idea of what this looks like over the next week or so. While we have had to cancel some sessions and activities at Dutch Farm this week, we are looking forward to working with PSS on Farmfest next Friday, 21st June and a summer of activities for the people we work with.
On behalf of everyone at YMCA Liverpool & Sefton and especially the Dutch Farm team we thank you all for your support – if you would like to find out more or would like to support Dutch Farm, please get in touch.
