New Service – Domestic Abuse Rapid Accommodation Project

Published

We are delighted to announce the launch of the Domestic Abuse Rapid Accommodation Project, working across Merseyside, for anyone over 18 who is impacted by Domestic Abuse – regardless of gender or family set up.

The project aims to provide rapid access to accommodation and will provide assistance to people to find suitable and safe accommodation and provide financial support, if required, to remove the barriers that people may face, when attempting to leave an abusive relationship.

The hope is that we will find accommodation solutions for people that can become their home, and a place that they can settle and rebuild their lives, free from Domestic Abuse.

The project has been funded by the Ministry of Housing, Communities & Local Government to work across Knowsley, Liverpool, Sefton, St. Helens and Wirral and aims to provide accommodation and support to 160 households.

Referrals to the service can be made via the MainStay system or by contacting YMCA Liverpool & Sefton directly on 0151 734 1074. In Knowsley referrals are made via
